Great video from the NAS for the basis of climate change. Find some time to watch it ...
Just wanted to post a link to this website that shows sea ice coverage for the Arctic and Antarctic. There are animations of the past 30 days of sea ice coverage and some pretty interesting charts comparing the past 30 years.

Since I am a policy guy, but love science (a lot), I thought I would share this important article, "Capitalism vs. The Climate, " by Naomi Klein published in The Nation last year.
There is tons that we could talk about in the piece. One of the key points, Klein's own "inconvenient truth" as she puts it, is that deniers are not wrong in thinking that countering climate change will require large scale coordination and planning and a total rethinking of the way we consume resources that challenges many core conservative values. "The issue is not the issue," is a common refrain among deniers, and in some pretty revealing ways they're right. All the more reason to figure out the best way to communicate to the public the reality of climate change and why dealing with it now is in everyone's interest regardless of politics.
